I must admit that the city Vang Vieng itself is quite ugly but the villages and places around that touristic and dirty place are beautiful. Especially when you have a scooter, a lot of time and a good friend with you. On the 4.000 islands is really not much to do, a good place to relax even though there are no really proper beaches. So I decided to grab a bicycle and explore the islands: driving through the little jungle in the very south of Don Khon and watching the sunset on the west side of Don Det while having something cold to drink.
